We are a people business. Each of us have different skills and style. We sometimes disagree but our culture of camaraderie binds us together. Mutual trust ensures we are able to make quick decisions. Each of us love what we do and together we want to serve all stakeholders and deliver the returns investors expect from us.

Melwin Mehta
Melwin is the founder of Sterling Investments and has been the Fund’s portfolio advisor since October 2017. He invests with an ownership mindset and analyses every company like a business, rather than a stock. Melwin lays heavy emphasis on management calibre and meets more than 200 companies annually. His 19 year career includes roles in private equity, family office and hedge fund. He is a Bachelor of Engineering, member of the CFA UK Society and holds the IMC.

Miles Nolan
Miles started his career as a financial journalist. After being the Smaller Companies Editor at the Investors Chronicle he was the Editor of the Growth Company Investor. He then worked as an analyst and fund manager in asset and wealth management. His recent roles were at stockbroker WH Ireland and investor relations firm IFC. He sits on the advisory panel for the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards and judges the Small Cap Awards.

Rik Tipton
Rik has held a variety of engineering roles before joining Sterling. For many years he has been investing his own savings in the stock markets using a long term research based approach. His operations and manufacturing background allows him to offer alternative perspectives, often missed by teams singularly focused on financials. He is a Bachelor of Engineering and has completed all three levels of the CFA exam.
